You know, I did like George Bush. Actually, as man he is quite the individual: a strong and steadfast leader willing to stand straight in his convictions - not a sentence many could use to describe more than a handful of today's political figures. In this category Bush Jr. stands tall.
But aside from being a complete moron and the fact that the man's administration couldn't organize a spaghetti supper if it wanted to, George now decides that he wants to play judge and jury. In his latest move Juror George has decided that former White House aid and best bud Scooter libby is in fact, guilty of obstructing justice, perjury and making false statements. Then as Judge George, it was decided that a 30 month jail term and a $200,000 fine is excessive. So what happens.....well Mr. President has used the powers bestowed upon him to commute the sentence handed down by the courts.
As a conservative, I've attempted to do all the defending I can for this man...but this is it. I mean really, hes guilty, and should serve the time for the crime. In one breath Bush talks about spreading freedom, liberty and the rule of law and in the next breath commutes the sentence of his own best bud. Give me a break, Bush.
I for one am done.
